The Care Quality Commission are the independent regulator in England for the health and adult social care sector. They make sure your service provides people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care whilst encouraging you and your business to improve.

Everybody has the right to expect good care, and the care you provide must always include:

  • DIGNITY AND RESPECT FOR ALL

  • CONSENT BEFORE ANY TREATMENT OR CARE is GIVEN

  • SAFETY AT ALL TIMES

  • SAFEGUARDING FROM ABUSE

  • FOOD AND DRINK WHILst RECEIVing CARE (CARE SECTOR)

  • PREMISES AND EQUIPMENT MUST BE SUITABLE AND CLEAN

  • COMPLAINTS MUST BE ACTED UPON

  • GOOD GOVERNANCE TO CHECK ON THE SAFETY AND QUALITY OF CARE

  • SUITABLY QUALIFIED, COMPETENT AND EXPERIENCED STAFF

  • FIT AND PROPER STAFF

  • DUTY OF CANDOUR - BEING OPEN AND TRANSPARENT
